The Day After

Yesterday we pretty much ate everything humanly possible. So today, we want to turn over a new leaf and try and eat a little healthier (at least for a couple days!) Here are our favorite healthy juice and smoothie recipes!

1 large handful spinach 1 mango, chopped 1 cup coconut water 1 cup cucumber, chopped 1/4 jalapeno chopped 1 small handful cilantro 2 sprigs mint 1 lime, juiced Combine all of the ingredients in a blender and puree thoroughly.  If you want it to be thicker/colder, make sure the mango, coconut water, and cucumber are from the fridge, or you could even freeze the coconut water in an ice cube tray and use that. Enjoy!

1 cup coconut water

1 cup cucumber, chopped

1/4 jalapeno chopped

1 small handful cilantro

2 sprigs mint

1 lime, juiced

2 carrot

1/2 beet

1 lime

1/2 apple

1 medium tomato

1/2 jalapeño, chopped

1 small handful cilantro

Juice the carrots and beet, then the lime and apple, then the tomato, jalapeño, and cilantro. If you don’t have a juicer, pop everything in the blender, and puree super thoroughly. Pour through a strainer. The juice is best enjoyed immediately!

2 carrots 1 inch piece fresh ginger 1 cup coconut water 1/2 orange, juiced 1 lime, juiced 1 pinch ground cardamom   Juice the carrots and ginger, combine with the juices and cardamom. If you don’t have a juicer, pop everything in the blender, and puree super thoroughly. Pour through a strainer. The juice is best enjoyed immediately!

1/2 cup vanilla frozen yogurt (or greek yogurt for a lighter spin) 1/4 cup blackberries 1/4 cup nectarines, sliced 1 tablespoon honey 1/2 teaspoon orange zest 2 cups coconut almond milk (half frozen in an ice cube tray for an extra cold smoothie) Pop the ingredients in a blender, and go from mix to liquify in steps.  Let it blend on liquify (or the highest setting) for 30 seconds.  The trick to this smoothie is REALLY blending it.  Taste and add more almond milk if you like a thinner consistency.
